Echinophyllia sp. Pink Lemonade Chalice Reeffarmers Seed Colony. This Echinophyllia has brilliant
pink spots and stripes that are somewhat similar in color and pattern to the Psychedelic Chalice. The
stripes on the Pink Lemonade Chalice are not as well defined and there are areas that contain just the base
green pigmentation which helps to give the coral a very unique appearance.

This new Pink Lemonade Chalice Echinophyllia has a coloration that is somewhat similar to the Limited Edition Psychedelic Chalice. The Pink Lemonade however does not develop very defined stripes and contains a mixture of stripes and dots. There are also large areas within the base of the coral where just the green pigmentation occurs. So it appears that this particular Echinophyllia needs more intense light to develop the pink pigmentation. In areas of the colony that do not receive strong light the coral will develop just a base green pigmentation. This allows some very striking coloration patterns to develop. The Pink Lemonade was imported and named by JenDub.com . They originally acquired the coral in a tranship from Indonesia. Steve Tyree is maintaining a farmed section of the Pink Lemonade Echinophyllia for Reeffarmers.com in one of his 125 gallon naturally filtered Tri-Zonal Reef Aquarium. In Steve's captive reef the coral is positioned to receive moderate light under a 400 watt 20,000 K Radium Metal Halide. Please note - In August 2010 Reeffarmers retired this coral. We lost the seed and demand had tapered off.
