Acropolis Rainbow Cyphastrea Reeffarmers Seed Imaged Under 20,000 K Halides.
An amazing coral that develops pigment patterns similar to the Rainbow Montipora.
Corallites and surface colored steel blue with yellow to green appearing near the edges.
Polyps are colored dark red and appear to have additional pigment qualities.

The Acropolis Rainbow Cyphastrea has a rainbow type pattern of red to yellow to green pigments that occur on its corallite ridges. The closer to the edge the more yellow and green develops on those corallite ridges. The surface of this Cyphastrea is primarily bright blue, while polyps all have deep red pigmentation.

We acquired our seed fragment for this coral in early September 2016 directly from Garrett's Acropolis. Steve Garrett believes this is the same Rainbow Cyphastrea morph that has been sold as a mid to high range coral within the captive reef market. It clearly has rainbow pigmentation patterns even under 20,000 K lighting. Garrett acquired the coral from Jose Serrano who had acquired his coral from Jw.

Reeffarmers is maintaining a seed section of this coral in a 7 foot Raceway Gyre BiZonal system. This system is naturally filtered with a semi-cryptic zone and a reef flat exposed zone. In this captive reef the coral is positioned to receive Original moderate light and moderate to weak water current. The first edition fragment of this coral is being offered currently through Facebook and our email list. List price for the small fragment is $135.
