A very colorful and uniquely pigmented Favia coral with medium sized corallites. The Sexy Corals (SC) Orange Crush Favia has a multicolored corallite ridge and a multicolored corallite center. That corallite center has a base pigmentation of bright orange with golden specks occurring on top of the orange. The thick corallite ridge has a base medium dark fluorecent green coloration. On the upper area of the ridge the green color gives way to a unique blue colored ring section. Polyp tentacles can extend during the day time and can contain colored pigments.

The Orange Crush Favia was originally acquired by Sexy Corals during the summer of 2010. It was possibly exported from Indonesia. Reeffarmers believes the coral prefers weak to moderate light and moderate water current. Reeffarmers acquired our initial seed of the SC Orange Crush Favia directly from Mike at Sexy Corals.

Steve Tyree is maintaining a seed section of this coral for in a 130 gallon Raceway Gyre BiZonal system. This system is naturally filtered with a semi-cryptic zone and a reef flat exposed zone. In Steve's captive reef the coral is positioned to receive weak to moderate light levels from a 400 watt 20,000 K Radium metal halide. The price of this coral per single corallite will be determined by the first edition auction below.
