Bright Orange Yellow Tips with a Red Pigmentation Extending Down the Branch Stem.
Inner Branch Stems are Colored Cream White Turquoise. Polyps are Dark Red.

The very colorful Acropolis Competition Coral was initially a browned out coral that had been imported through Reef Raft USA. Fragments of the coral were distributed and a competition occurred to see who could colorup the coral to its exotic imported pigmentation. The colony that Steve Garret has growing in one of his farm systems has colored up incredibly well. Branch tips are bright yellow to orange yellow. Red pigments extend down the side of branches. Polyps are dark red and branch stems can develop that cream turquoise white coloration.

Reeffarmers acquired our seed section directly from Garretts Acropolis Garrett's Acropolis after the 2016 Macna event in San Diego. The coral itself was amazing and Steve told us about the 2013 competition the coral was involved in. Reeffarmers moved out to Texas in early 2012 so we were not aware of this competition in Southern California. Garrett originally acquired this coral from Cylix (former IEMAS president), while Cylix was relocating to Spokane Washington. Garrett held the coral and was able to get a fragment to Cylix after relocation.

Reeffarmers is maintaining a seed section of this coral in a 7 foot Raceway Gyre BiZonal system. This system is naturally filtered with a semi-cryptic zone and a reef flat exposed zone. In this captive reef the coral is positioned to receive moderate to strong light and moderate water current. The first edition fragment of this coral is being offered currently through Facebook and our email list. List price for the small fragment is $90.
